About

I am a father, a husband and a content activist at heart.

My current passions include lifting weights, making digital content, cooking and occasionally strumming the guitar. Others include drawing, learning languages like Korean, Japanese and Spanish.

I returned to school after I retired from the Navy in 2016 to study to become a physical therapist assistant.  Things didn’t work out, and after completing the prerequisites, I returned to the graphic arts and earned an associate degree in multimedia technology. I have many interests, but I invariably return to one of the anchors to my identity, art. I see myself as a creative person, and I have never been able to accept other vocational options.

These days I am pursuing a freelance career as a content creator. I want to help small businesses and solopreneurs tell their stories and reach their customers through content. In three years I see myself with a thriving creative business with many satisfied customers.

When I’m not at my local gym, you can find me in my kitchen or at my desktop lab working on my digital marketing business.

Want to work together? I’d love to hear from you. Subscribe to my blog or send me an email.  I know that response may be slow, but you can reach me at dpmckee@gmail.com.
